INNOVATEFIL ANTIBACTERIAL is a high-performance PLA filament enhanced with silver nanoparticles that provide antibacterial properties. It prevents the growth of mold, fungi, and bacteria on printed parts, which cause bad odors, discoloration, stains, and material degradation.
Its antibacterial effectiveness has been certified under ISO 22196 by an external laboratory, with proven results of 99.99% bacterial reduction (including Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) within 24 hours.

FAQs – COMMON QUESTIONS
- Can I use it in any 3D printer? Yes, it's compatible with all open or closed printers that support PLA. Ideal for Bowden or Direct Drive systems.
- Does the antibacterial property fade over time? No. Since the silver nanoparticles are embedded in the material, the effect is long-lasting.
- Can I use the black version? Yes. Black PLA Antibacterial has the same properties and is perfect for parts where dirt or stains are a concern. Ask us for availability.
- Does it require an enclosure? No. It prints like regular PLA, without warping or cracking.
- Can I sand or paint it? Yes, once printed it can be sanded and painted like other PLA materials.
- Is it safe for skin contact? Yes, though not certified for implants or invasive use.
COMMON PRINTING ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS
- Under-extrusion? Increase nozzle temp to 215–220 ºC and reduce print speed slightly.
- Poor first layer adhesion? Level the bed properly, use a brim or glue stick on the bed.
- Stringing or oozing? Lower temperature slightly and increase retraction distance/speed.
- Layer shifts? Check belt tension and slow down print speed to stabilize.
